Mercer Select Membership Info

Mercer Select is the premier membership service for Mercer clients and other contacts interested in news and analysis on a broad spectrum of benefit, compensation, and other human resource (HR) issues. The service – including the website and its content – is designed to give you the information you need to do your job.

Membership structure

Mercer Select membership is available to Mercer clients and prospects. Mercer Select offers two membership tiers: basic and premium. Within the premium membership tier, there are three options: Executive Remuneration (Exec Rem) Premium, Health & Benefits Premium, and Retirement Premium. You must be a basic member to be eligible for any of the premium membership options.

Mercer Select also offers two toolkits: the HIPAA Self-Assess Toolkit and the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) Toolkit. Toolkits are available for purchase by members and non-members.

About basic membership

Basic members enjoy:

  • Full-text access to Mercer-produced articles, including many GRIST articles. Several GRIST articles may be published on any given day — ranging from GRIST Alerts, which are news notification summaries, to GRIST Reports and InDepths, which provide summaries and more detailed analysis on major issues.
  • Full-text access to Today’s Headlines articles — typically, around 20 per day — from newspapers and periodicals, including Wall Street Journal, the Economist, Pensions & Investments, to name a few.
  • E-mail delivery of GRIST articles, Today’s Headlines, and Weekly Highlights, which summarizes the prior week's notable legislative, regulatory, and legal developments.
  • The easy-to-use Advanced Search functionality, which enables filtering by topic(s), publication(s), geography, and/or date.
  • Unique perspectives on hot HR issues in the HR Room blog, coordinated by Harry Conaway, the head of Mercer’s Washington Resource Group.

About premium membership

Premium members get access to everything available to basic members, plus a whole lot more.

  • H&B, Retirement, and Exec Rem premium members have access to additional, high-value articles from Mercer and third parties that are not available to other Select members. Premium content is aimed at specialists and experts focused on the particular topic area and includes selected analyses and insights, e.g., many GRIST InDepth articles, premier third-party content, special reports and analyses from Mercer’s businesses.
  • Additional Today’s Headline articles — more headlines from more local and regional papers — are made available only to premium members.
  • H&B premium members have access to H&B ComplianceConnection, an online tool to assist organizations with health care and group benefit plan administration. H&B ComplianceConnection is organized according to needs based on events that administrators and their employees encounter and on key topics. ComplianceConnection also includes sample notices and forms, compliance calendars, and an index of terms.
  • Exec Rem premium members have access to a blog on executive remuneration, hosted by Mark Borges, an Exec Rem expert attorney in Mercer’s Washington Resource Group.

Additional member benefits

Basic and premium members will be able to enjoy these additional benefits:

  • Customized research assistance from Mercer’s US Information Research Center (IRC) (special hourly rate charges will apply).
  • Hot topic Web conferences and roundtables with active Select member participation.
  • Additional member collaboration features, including the ability of members to submit their own articles, speeches, and presentations and to initiate and lead Web conferences and roundtables and member surveys.
